“When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure.”
This week is National Grief Awareness Week, a topic close to our hearts and an important part of the work we do at Willow Burn Hospice. As well as the Family Support and Bereavement Services we provide here, we also remember loved ones throughout the year within our gardens and at events such as Light Up a Life, Memories in Bloom and Trees of Remembrance.
This year our Trees of Remembrance will return to the following venues:
10 December 2024 - Tesco Annfield Plain (10am - 2pm)
11 & 12 December 2024 - ASDA Stanley (10am - 2pm)
14 & 15 December 2024 - Christmas Tree Festival, St. Patrick's Church, Dipton (1pm - 4pm)
We invite you to come along and visit our trees to remember a loved one by writing a dedication on a Willow Burn Bauble and making a donation if you choose. Your baubles will be transferred to Willow Burn and placed on our trees at the hospice, where they will stay until the New Year.
Last week our Trees of Remembrance were at the Consett Christmas Tree Festival and the Willow Burn Hospice Light Up A Life Service (pictured before your baubles were hung).
With thanks to Christ Church Consett, Asda Stanley , Tesco Annfield Plain and St. Patrick's Church for hosting our Trees of Remembrance 2024.
