Willow Burn Hospice offers Duke of Edinburgh placements for people aged 14 upwards and school work experience placements.
We are able to offer placements in:
Retail (Stanley, Consett and Chester-le-Street)
Café Service (The Willows Café, Lanchester)
Fundraising and Marketing
Working Hours
We are guided on the number of hours you are able to work by Durham County Council - the guidance can be viewed here: Employment of Children
Following your placement, you would also be welcome to join our volunteering team permanently or until your career takes you on a new path.
Applying for a Placement
You can apply for a placement by completing the volunteering application form. Our Marketing Communications Manager will then contact you to discuss what you need to complete your placement successfully and to confirm that Willow Burn is able to help.
