It's Friday and time for one of Laura's 'Pre-Loved Shopping Tips' - this week she is focusing on how charity shops can help you to build your capsule wardrobe.
It's Friday and time for one of Laura's Charity Shop Tips for pre-loved shoppers...
"Always wanted that capsule wardrobe where you can throw anything together and always look stylish? Me too! Admittedly, easier said than done.
Check out your local charity shops to start building a wardrobe full of essentials. There are often good quality/well-made pre-loved basics that will last far longer than those bought on SHEIN or in Primark. Save yourself money and reduce your carbon footprint by investing in items that fit well and are of good quality.
Check brand, condition and what the item is made from to get the best value and cost per wear!
You could start off with black and white t-shirts, black tailored trousers, jeans, black boots, handbags and even accessories. Be prepared to spend a little bit more than you might usually to bag these higher quality items. For example, the item that is joining my capsule wardrobe this week is this Karen Millen white t-shirt with stud detail for £7.99. It is in great condition, and I feel this will be very versatile as it can be dressed up or down and will go with many items I already have in my wardrobe. I'm one step closer to effortless style and less raking around deciding what to wear on a morning!"
