Willow Burn celebrated the difference volunteers make to the hospice and thanked them for all of their time and dedication to mark Volunteers’ Week.

Volunteers celebrated along with staff on 8 June at an afternoon tea in the Willows Café to mark the occasion.  As well as delicious food, staff took the time to share with all of the volunteers the impact they’d had on the hospice in 2021/2022 and the future strategic priorities for the organisation. The event ended with a quiz and raffle.

Volunteering with Willow Burn is the perfect opportunity to learn new skills and develop existing ones, as well as getting to know new people from the area. Roles currently available include: Café Assistant (Saturdays particularly), Retail Assistants (Stanley, Consett and Chester-le-Street), Fundraisers and E-commerce Assistants, Gardeners and Receptionists.
