Willow Week starts on Monday and what a way to kick it off on Supporter Saturday with the fabulous Mccrorys.
The Mccrorys are five months into the 'Mccrory Family Monthly Fundraising Challenge' and so far they have
raised over £5000 for Willow Burn Hospice in memory of Maureen and Tom Mccrory.
Today is the May challenge - The Yorkshire Three Peaks.
Here is their story...
"Our wonderful Mam and Grandma, Maureen Mccrory, sadly lost her fight against cancer on December 17th 2021. The care that she received at Willow Burn Hospice in the last weeks of her life offered peace and tranquillity at the most difficult time of our lives. This wonderful charity relies solely on donations and fundraising to continue their amazing work. As a family we want to raise as much money as we can for this one in a million charity to say thank you.
We are going to complete monthly challenges/fundraisers to raise funds for Willow Burn and also to keep Tom and Maureen's memory alive. Everyone who knew Tom and Maureen will know that they loved their family more than anything. That is why we are doing this together, as a family, in their memory."
So far this year they have...
January - 500 miles Peloton
February - 10,000 steps per day
March - online raffle and coffee morning
April - 100km swim and coffee morning
A huge thank you to the Mccrorys for this wonderful support and a huge good luck to today's walkers: Ian Nicholas, Kathleen Guy, John Guy, Paul Mccrory, Joanne Mccrory, Terue Horiuchi Mccrory, Kevin McCrory and Claire Holt, and support team Sharon Quinn Rogan and Teresa Nicholas
