This year, the team at Mer United Kingdom has chosen Willow Burn Hospice as their local charity partner of the year.
"Mer in the UK is a made of two companies based in London (Public charging) and Consett (Workplace/Fleet Charging). Our employees are passionate about the electric vehicle revolution and sustainability.
Mer UK has chosen Willow Burn Hospice as it's annual charity.
Willow Burn is located not far from our offices in Consett and a number of colleagues want to take the opportunity to say thank you to the hospice for all support they give to some of their loved ones.
As a business we value the work the hospice provides to the local community.
The team have/will support Willow Burn throughout the year by taking part in a number of fundraising events:
Willow Week – Coffee and Cake Day
Clothing collections throughout the year
Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge on the 16 June
Annual Football Match and Summer Event – 30 June
Clarty Bairns – 15 July
Great North Run – 10 Sept
As well as fundraising some of our colleagues will be utilising their annual CSR days (we get 2 per year) to volunteer at the hospice."
