On Friday 1 May the costs to fund one full day of care in the Sir Tom Cowie Day Care Centre have been kindly donated in loving memory of Pat Dobson.
"After a very short illness Pat died from a brain tumour at Willow Burn hospice on 25 May 2025. This year on 1st May 2026 it would have been Pat & Colin’s Golden Wedding Anniversary.
The family would like to take this opportunity to give special thanks to all at Willow Burn for the loving care that both Pat and all the family received through her short stay.
Born in Hartlepool and graduating as a pharmacist in Manchester, Pat then spent her whole married life on Tyneside with husband Colin and three daughters Clare, Rebecca and Sarah.
Pat’s greatest passion was always her family and friends. She found joy in being with those she loved, whether in her back garden playing with the grandchildren, or on the other side of the world exploring Sarah’s adopted home in Australia.
Pat had plenty of hobbies, and she used them generously to brighten the lives of others. Many people now have something in their home or garden that she made – a piece of sewing, a plant cutting, a painting or one of her beaded angels. These weren’t just things – they were small acts of love.
Now sadly missed and fondly remembered by all the family - Colin, daughters Clare, Rebecca and Sarah, sons-in-law Colin and David and grandchildren Alasdair, Matthew, Annabel and Elliot.
Thank you Willow Burn."
