Due to an increase in referrals from external sources to our adult bereavement counselling service we currently have an extended waiting list for service provision.
We have therefore taken the difficult decision to suspend referrals to the service for an initial three-month period. This will allow time for us to provide counselling to patients already in the system and enable us to develop a longer-term plan. Children’s Counselling referrals and internal referrals (ie referrals from our Helen McArdle In Patient Wing or Day Services) are not affected.
