On 6 October 2023, Ken lost his short and aggressive battle with liver cancer. At the end, Ken was cared for by the incredible team at Willow Burn Hospice.
Ken loved a holiday, and his favourite place in the world was Ibiza. The family are heading there in June to celebrate what would have been his 75th birthday in his favourite spot.
In honour of Papa Mitford, and his love for Ibiza, his daughters Laura and Elisabeth are walking the distance of Newcastle to Ibiza - 1,500 miles (or 3541634 steps), over the next few months. It equates to walking 7 miles every day in all weathers, and so far they've both walked over 400 miles each. Please pray for the Mitford knees and hips!
The walking challenge will end with a pint in Ibiza on his birthday!
