Business Development Manager (Retail)

Location: Willow Burn Hospice, Lanchester (with travel to our shops in Chester-le-Street, Consett, Stanley)

Salary: £15.07p/h

Hours: 30 hours per week to include some Saturdays

Team Leader: Deputy Chief Executive and Head of Fundraising & Marketing

Derwentside Hospice Care Foundation – or Willow Burn Hospice as we are known locally - is currently seeking a Business Development Manager (Retail) to join our dedicated retail team. We are an independent charity delivering palliative and end of life care services to adults and their families across Derwentside and County Durham.

To support and encourage business development in the retail services of Willow Burn Hospice. 

  • To provide the strategic leadership for the retail/trading income streams to ensure targets are met and key standards are achieved

  • To lead on and drive the continued success of the retail/trading operation, increasing sales and profits from existing shops, online operations, and new commercial opportunities

  • To lead on all aspects of business development to ensure the continued growth of the retail/trading portfolio

  • To ensure excellent levels of customer service are provided across the operation

  • Ensure WBH’s policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
