Take the skies, conquer the surging adrenaline and feel the incredible rush of falling from a plane 10,000ft in the air!
If you’ve always dreamed of pushing yourself to the limits and taking on this amazing challenge then NOW is the perfect time to do it and raise vital funds for Willow Burn Hospice.
Many brave souls in the past have completed the skydive challenge and have been successful in raising thousands of pounds for the Hospice, but now we are looking for new blood! New keen adrenaline-junkies, and people who have perhaps had a secret yearning to do something completely out of character; no matter your incentive its true to say that once you’ve completed the jump you won’t regret it.
On 7th October we are planning to welcome a small army of thrill-seekers at Skydive Academy in Peterlee from 10am, where you will be met by Willow Burn staff and the fantastic team at the centre too. After some safety and security training you will be kitted in your jump suits and board the all-important plane before starting your ascent to 10,000! When in position you will be edged to the open plane door by your tandem instructor, a few words of encouragement (possibly some expletives from you!) and then you go … Jump. Straight out into the bright blue rush of the skies! You’ll free fall with the wind in your face and seeing for miles around before the canopy opens and all becomes serene and calm; and as your heart rate settles you’ll be guided expertly back down to earth and your friends, family, fans at the centre below.
If you want to take on this experience of a lifetime, it’s so simple to do! Simply very carefully read the instructions and restrictions below and complete the online sign up and registration fee of £100. You’ll then receive a fundraising pack via post or email with top tips on how to raise the sponsorship of £400 to support the work of Willow Burn Hospice.
You may be surprised how easy it can be to raise your target – amazing how many people you probably know who will enjoy you pushing yourself to the limits or maybe facing your fears! But don’t worry – our professional, friendly team of Fundraisers are always on hand to give extra advice and support if you think you might struggle.
