Administration Assistant Volunteer

Purpose of this Volunteer Role:

To provide all aspects of administrative support to the chosen area, this may be; general Hospice administration or administration relating to HR Services, Income Generation/Fundraising, Finance ensuring at all times a high standard of work is maintained in line with Hospice guidelines.

Task Description:

    • Answer the telephone, directing calls to the relevant departments and/or taking messages when required
    • Researching the internet for relevant information and/or guidelines
    • Preparing for, attending and/or taking minutes at relevant meetings
    • Updating and/or retrieving information from the Raisers Edge database and other relevant databases
    • Supporting the work of Willow Burn as required
    • Where relevant, assist with the development and implementation of volunteer policy and procedures
    • Respect the privacy and confidentiality of all patients, donors, volunteers and/or capital investors at all times as per the volunteer confidentiality policy
    • Ensure effective communication with all departments and staff
    • Keep the work area clear and tidy

    • Good communication skills with a broad spectrum of professionals

    • Excellent IT Skills including Microsoft Outlook and Excel
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Tact & diplomacy in dealing with a variety of situations
