Coronavirus Hospice Update

COVID-19 Update

Advice and Guidance for visiting Willow Burn
The Helen McArdle Wing is continuing to provide inpatient care for those who need us at this time and family members are still welcome to visit by prior arrangement and with restrictions in place, all of which will be discussed with you on admission. We understand that this is a difficult time, which is why we will always try to ensure you are with your family members when they need you the most, however we kindly ask that you work with us on this so that we can continue to protect the people in our care and our staff team.

The Willows Café and shops will remain closed until government restrictions lift.

Help Us Today To Support Our Tomorrow
Willow Burn relies on almost £1m of support from the community to run our services but due to the restrictions in place to stop the spread of Covid-19, our shops and café have closed and fundraising and donations have understandably reduced. This is a 70% reduction in income.

Our small Willow Burn team are still working incredibly hard to care for our in-patients and we continue to fundraise and refocus our income generation plans. We are so grateful for the donations and messages we have already received from our amazing friends and supporters. If you are able to support Willow Burn by making a donation then that would be incredible, it will truly make a difference to hospice care in Derwentside.

Wishing you all the very best
